Welcome to Aging Politics

Advocacy, Education & Outreach

Maintaining focus on the fastest growing population in one of the world’s largest economies, Aging Politics is your number one resource to keep track of legislative issues affecting seniors and their families in California and worldwide.

The number of people who are 65 years old or older living in the U.S. is growing rapidly.  This is especially prevalent in California where there is already a large older population.  The people in this age group use more social services than any other group.

While there are fewer people living in the U.S. who are 85 years old or older, this group is gaining in size at an exponential rate even faster than the group of people who are 65 years or older when compared to years in the past.

People who are 85 years old or older use many social services.  Additionally, they wish to live in their homes, and may require home assistance or modifications made to their houses.

Aging Politics is a resource to help researchers and special interest groups monitor the decisions being made to ensure appropriate planning for this dramatic shift in global, national, and especially statewide population.
